Winter in Nepal: the skies are clear, it is usually dry, and there are clear views of the Himalayas. Yes, it is freezing at night, and a warm sleeping bag is needed, but while walking during the day you don’t feel the cold in the brilliant sunshine. Hot soup awaits in the teahouse, and can warm you up at the stove.
These three treks require moderate effort, will usually be snow-free, and afford wonderful winter views of the mountains. Moreover, the trails are not crowded, though an increasing number of people have discovered the open secret of winter treks in Nepal!
