Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking
This varied short trek proceeds through open cultivated valleys to dense forests by the side of rushing streams, and allows stunning vistas of the peaks. From Ulleri magnificent views of Annapurna South, Himchuli and Machhapuchhre are revealed. In spring the rhododendron forests are in flower especially on the trail from Ghorepani to Ghandruk. Situated above the tumbling Modi Khola river, Ghandruk village is a large centre of the Gurung community, set amidst cultivated terraces with stone pathways connecting the different levels, offering superb views of the Annapurna range.
