Annapurna Region Trekking
Variety and stunning landscapes draw trekkers to the Annapurna range
A magnet for trekkers to Nepal, the Annapurna region is the most popular destination because of the sheer variety of treks available, all with the magnificent backdrop of the Annapurna range.
You can do the challenging Annapurna Circuit, going all the way from Besisahar to Nayapul, or you can stop at Jomsom and shorten the journey. You can combine the trek to the Annapurna Base Camp with the Circuit, and this trek is also very popular on its own. Jomsom is also the gateway to Upper Mustang, with its fantastic wind-sculpted landscapes and distinctive culture.
Then there are the popular shorter treks: up the Kali Gandaki valley from Beni to Muktinath, or crossing over from Nayapul to the Kali Gandaki valley via Ghorepani, or a short circuit from Nayapul via Ghorepani and Ghandruk.
And whichever trek you do, you will end in Pokhara, a great place to relax beside Fewa lake.
